COVID Outbreak at CDC Conference Infected 181 People - All Were Vaccinated
More evidence that vaccines increase your risk of infection
The CDC has confirmed all attendees at its 2023 superspreader event were vaccinated.
An outbreak of COVID-19 has unfolded at a conference held by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The conference consisted of 1,800 in-person attendees with a vaccination rate of 99.4%
The CDC conference was to showcase the work of its applied epidemiology officers known as "disease detectives". Over the past year, these officers have investigated a variety of public health matters, including cancer, bird flu, infant mortality and COVID-19.
On the last day of the conference, April 27, organizers were informed that several attendees had tested positive for COVID-19. A survey was sent out to the attendees:
181 people reported testing positive for SARS-CoV-2
Of those who reported testing positive, 52% reported no known prior COVID-19 infection
1,435 (99.4%) of respondents reported at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose.
49 of the respondents who tested positive needed antiviral medications
None were hospitalized
The CDC then praised their event and praised their vaccines because none of the vaccinated attendees from their superspreader event went to the hospital.
These findings underline the importance of vaccination for protecting individuals against severe illness and death related to COVID-19. Nearly every respondent reported receiving at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, and none of the 181 people who reported testing positive were hospitalized.
The CDC’s conclusion: do nothing differently in the future. It’s fine
The CDC appears to be misleading the public again. There is no evidence that the vaccine prevented severe illness in the conference attendees. A variant that does not cause severe illness is currently circulating.
However, there is evidence that you are more likely to contract COVID-19 thanks to the vaccines. The Cleveland Clinic Study, which found that the risk of COVID-19 infection increased with the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses, is the most well-known study on this topic. The more doses of the vaccine you receive, the greater your risk of reinfection.
What do you think the outcome of this event would have been if 99.4% of the attendees were unvaccinated?
